Acting on credible intelligence, the security forces advanced into the bush near Doka Village, where they encountered the armed gang attempting to move their victims to Kajuru Forest.

“The security forces inflicted heavy casualties on the bandits, forcing them to retreat with gunshot wounds,” said Police Public Relations Officer DSP Mansir Hassan. This led to the successful rescue of 23 victims, who had previously been abducted in Kauru LGA.

The victims have since been reunited with their families, and authorities have intensified surveillance and patrols in the area to prevent further attacks.

Kaduna State Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Muhammad, reaffirmed the command’s commitment to ensuring the safety of residents.

He also emphasized ongoing collaboration with military and other security agencies to combat crime and maintain peace in the state.
