The Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS), Jerry Adams, has been conferred with the traditional title of Jagaban Moro’a by the Chief of Moro’a, His Royal Highness Chief Isiaku Tagwai Sambo, in recognition of his contributions to community development and humanitarian service.
Adams received the honour on Saturday during a visit to Manchok, Kaura Local Government Area, where he led a delegation to commiserate with residents affected by a recent flood disaster that destroyed homes, farmlands and other property.
Speaking after the conferment, Adams described the recognition as a humbling call to service.
“I am deeply honoured by this title and the trust it represents,” he said. “I witnessed the damage firsthand, offered support, and will work closely with the State Emergency Management Agency in line with Governor Uba Sani’s directive to prioritise the welfare and safety of our people, especially in times like these.”
The Chief of Moro’a, His Royal Highness Chief Isiaku Tagwai Sambo, said the traditional council decided to honour Adams for his dedication to public service and his support for the community.
“This title is our way of appreciating his commitment to development and his concern for our people, particularly during this trying period,” the monarch stated.
“We pray that the Jagaban Moro’a will continue to uplift our community and Kaduna State at large.”
While in the area, Adams also joined Muslim faithful in Manchok and Kafanchan to mark this year’s Eid-el-Maulud and later paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Jema’a, Alhaji Muhammadu Isah Muhammadu, where he prayed for peace and prosperity across the state.
End.
