The primary election, part of the larger Kaduna State Local Government Councilorship Primaries, saw Hon. Mashal secure an overwhelming votes, polling over 500 votes, decisively defeating his closest rival.

The Ankung “A” ward, designated as the collection centre for Duya Ward, experienced an impressive turnout of voters from various polling units and communities within the electoral ward.

This significant participation underscores the electorate’s commitment to the democratic process and their desire for effective local governance.

The election was notable for its peaceful conduct, with no reports of violence or disturbances throughout the voting and counting process.

The orderly manner in which the election was conducted is a testament to the organisational efforts of the electoral officials and the commitment of the voters to a fair and transparent election.

Hon. Mashal’s victory in the Duya Ward primaries can be attributed to his strong grassroots connections and his reputation for being a dedicated and effective community leader.

His campaign focused on addressing the key issues facing the ward, including improving local infrastructure, enhancing educational opportunities, and fostering economic development.

His message clearly resonated with the voters, who turned out in large numbers to support his candidacy.
