In a unanimous decision delivered on Friday, the five-member panel dismissed the appeal by Mohammed Ashiru Isah of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), deeming it lacking in merit.

In a pivotal judgment led by Justice Tijjani Abubakar, it was emphasized that the appellants failed to adhere to the provisions of Paragraph 18(1) and (3) of the First Schedule to the Electoral Act 2022 concerning the filing of pre-hearing notice at the tribunal.

The Supreme Court’s validation reinforces the democratic mandate placed in Uba Sani and the APC, securing their governance of Kaduna State.

Justice Tijjani Abubakar dissected the case, highlighting the crucial legal lapses that led to the dismissal of the PDP’s appeal.

The judgment emphasized the significance of compliance with Paragraph 18(1) and (3) of the First Schedule to the Electoral Act 2022, underlining its role in ensuring a fair electoral process.

With this resounding affirmation, the All Progressives Congress maintains its leadership in Kaduna State, upholding its commitment to effective governance.
