This bridge serves as a crucial link between various communities and Kafanchan town, the headquarters of Jema’a Local Government Area.

The decision was prompted by Governor Uba Sani’s commitment to addressing the needs of the people of Kaduna.

After receiving information from political associates and representatives of the affected area, he wasted no time in taking action to alleviate the challenges faced by the community.

Yabo Ephraim, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Executive Chairman of Zango Kataf Local Government Area, confirmed the Governor’s directive in a Press Statement. The construction of the damaged bridge is now a top priority.

The Tsoriang bridge had suffered from gully erosion, causing significant disruption to commuters traveling along the Zonkwa-Madakiya road. This had a detrimental impact on various communities and Kafanchan town in Jema’a Local Government Area.

In response to the situation, Governor Uba Sani expressed his commitment to rebuilding the collapsed Tsoriang bridge. He acknowledged the importance of restoring seamless access for commuters and alleviating the hardships caused by the bridge’s collapse.

Stakeholders and political associates of the Council Chairman of Zangon Kataf Local Government Council appealed to the Governor, emphasizing the urgent need to rebuild the collapsed bridge and mitigate its negative impact. The Executive Chairman also urged affected communities and commuters to remain calm and patient, assuring them of the Governor’s resolute commitment to the bridge’s reconstruction.

The Chairman took the opportunity to express gratitude to the Governor for his swift response and extended special thanks to Senator Sunday Marshall Katung (Esq), the Distinguished Senator representing Southern Kaduna, for his appeal to the Governor on behalf of the affected communities.

Upon reading the Elanza News reports about the collapsed bridge in Southern Kaduna, Governor Uba Sani promptly informed his associates about his decision to initiate the construction of the bridge.
