Kaduna Governor-elect Uba Sani Backs Abbas For Speaker

The Kaduna State Governor-elect, Sen Uba Sani has promised to support Hon Tajudeen Abbas to emerged as the 10th Assembly speaker in the House of Representatives.

Elanza News reports that Abbas is the member representing Zaria federal constituency of Kaduna state and is one of the top contenders for the office of the Speaker.

But Uba Sani, who is also a serving Senator, representing Kaduna central, said he will support Abbas to emerge as the next speaker of the house of representatives.

In a statement issued by Abbas media team in Abuja and made available to press men, Uba Sani expressed confidence and satisfaction in Abbas and his sterling supporters.

Abbas and his supporters who were at Uba Sani’s place on a congratulatory greetings over his victory at the polls, also pay a Sallah homage.

Abbas and his supporters who also seek for Uba Sani’s blessing for the Speaker race, were elated when the Governor-elect assured them of his support for Abbas to emerge speaker.

The Governor-elect told the supporters that he was already canvassing for votes for Abbad through some Governors and his colleagues at the national assembly.

He said Abbad is the right candidate for the position as it stands because of his prowess and charisma.

Uba Sani explained that the North West played a key role by producing the highest number of votes to the President-elect adding that the region need to be compensated with the position of speaker of the house of representatives.

According to him, if that is done, Abbas will emerge as the next speaker.

Uba Sani said Abbas is the only candidate that will unite Nigeria if elected as speaker.

He said he will support Abbas to win the election in order to attract development and bring purposeful unity to the country.

In his response, the 10th Assembly Speakership hopeful, Hon Tajudeen Abbas said the contest is a project for the governor elect, the people of Kaduna and indeed Nigerians adding that all hands must be on desk for a new development for the nation.

Abbas said if elected speaker in the 10th Assembly, he will speak the minds of the people and unite the country.

He said the people of Kaduna are known for their pedigree, good conduct and character, therefore, he said he will not disappoint the governor-elect and the entire nation.
“My success is also the success of the Governor, Kaduna State, North West and Nigerian,” Abbas added.
