The member representing Chikun in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Hon. Madami Garba, is dead after a brief illness.
Madami, was a two-time Commissioner for Economic Planning, former Local Government Chairman, and a present re-elected member of the Chikun State House of Assembly.
A nephew who confirmed his death to THE PUNCH on Saturday morning said the lawmaker fell sick a week before they inaugurated the Kaduna State 10th Assembly which led to his untimely death.
He described the lawmaker as a grassroots politician who exemplifies credible representation to his constituents.
” We’ll miss his counsel and a worthy politician of repute who carries everybody along irrespective of tribe or religion.
