The daughter of the late former Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, has taken to social media to mourn the loss of her father, expressing that she is heartbroken.
In an emotional tribute filled with sorrow and remembrance, Noor Buhari prayed for her father’s soul.
In a message posted on her Instagram story, Noor conveyed her profound sadness over the passing of her father, who died at the age of 82 in a clinic in London on 13th July 2025.
“Daddy, I’m heartbroken that we won’t get to share the moments and experiences I had planned for us,” she wrote.
Buhari, Nigeria’s former Head of State and two-term civilian President, was laid to rest in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State, on Tuesday, 15th July, in accordance with Islamic rites.
His death has elicited responses from around the globe, with tributes pouring in from world leaders, politicians, and citizens alike.
Alongside her heartfelt words, Noor also offered a prayer for her father’s soul: “I pray that you are granted the highest place in Jannah, and that your soul rests in eternal peace.”
