Ijaw women under the auspices of Ijaw Women Connect (IWC), Worldwide, have expressed confidence in Dr Dennis Otuaro as the new administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP).

In a congratulatory letter signed on Monday at Yenagoa by the founder of IWC-Worldwide, Mrs Rosemary John-Oduone, Otuaro was described as a competent and experienced administrator.

The group urged him to leverage his wealth of experience in the amnesty scheme to drive the programme.

“We are confident that being a seasoned administrator and a professional of repute, you shall leverage your vast experiences in the discharge of these onerous responsibilities,” said the group.

The women prayed that God would grant him wisdom to carry out his assigned duties by positively impacting the lives of the people of the Niger Delta region.

The group also appreciated President Bola Tinubu for finding him worthy of the job.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Otuaro holds a doctorate in Comparative Politics and Development Studies.

He had previously served at the Niger Delta Development Commission as a top-level executive. (NAN)
