As Muslims around the world observe the holy month of Ramadan, Comrade Salihu Dantata Mahmud has paid tribute to the late Mohammed Kyari Waziri, a statesman, humanitarian, and devoted Muslim who lost his life in the Bellview Airlines crash.
In a heartfelt message, Mahmud, a former member of the Special Presidential Information Team, recalled his last encounter with Waziri at Eagle Square during the inaugural national convention of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), where they stood alongside an American diplomat, Kaminski, from the U.S. embassy.
“Life is short, as we all must one day taste death. We pray that our good deeds exceed our mistakes and sins,” Mahmud said, reflecting on Waziri’s legacy.
Describing Waziri as a man of integrity, he noted that not all distinguished figures possess true credibility.
“WKM, you lived a life worthy of emulation, and we shall continue to immortalize you,” he added.
Waziri’s contributions to national development and humanitarian causes remain a source of inspiration for many.
