The member Representing Zaria Federal Constituency and 10th Assembly Speakership hopeful, Hon Tajudeen Abbas has condoled with the people of Taraba State over the demise of Mallam Isma’ila Maihanci.
Maihanchi was elected in the 2023 general election to represent Jalingo, Zing, Yorro federal constituency but died Saturday.
But Abbas, who doubles as the Chairman Land, Transport in the House of Representatives and a contestant of the office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, condoled with the family of Maihanci and the entire people of Taraba and Nigeria.
In a condolence letter made available to the Northern Political Correspondent Forum/ Arewa Journalists Forum in Abuja, Abbas said Hon Maihanchi’s death was a big blow to the youths in Taraba state and the North because he would have carried the youths along through effective legislations.
He said the loss of Maihanci is a big blow to the youth and his constituents that voted for him.
Abbas said the National Assembly will also miss the needed contributions of Maihanci on the floor of the House.
Abbas said: “In a time like this, it is the will of Allah. He feels that it is appropriate for him to call him home and therefore, the family, Taraba State and Nigeria should accept it as the will of God.
“Death is a necessary end so we should all be prepared for it,” Abbas said while urging political office holders to prepare, adding that such a call can come at any time.
“Let’s prepare for our calling because it can be any time. That was the paramount message of the Ramadan fasting. May Almighty God forgive the sins of Maihanci and grant him Aljannah Firdaus,” Abbas said while appealing to all to accept the death in good faith and forge ahead.
Abbas also prayed for the repose of Maihanci’s soul.
