Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare Dr Tunji Alausa has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he termed unwavering support to the health sector.

Speaking on Thursday afternoon in Kaduna at the Commissioning of Projects at the National Ear Care Centre, Dr. Tunji Alausa said “the projects commissioned represents our dedication to enhancing the quality of patient care and medical training in Nigeria.

These facilities will undoubtedly add tremendous value to the care provided to our patients, ensuring that the National Ear Care Centre remains at the forefront of specialized medical care in our country.”

According to him the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has made significant strides in addressing the critical challenges facing our health sector.

On “JAPA” syndrome which has left a considerable gap in our human resources for health, Dr. Alausa revealed that the Federal Ministry of Health has responded decisively.

He maintained that admission quotas in health training institutions across the country have been increased to ensure that we are training more healthcare professionals to fill these gaps.

“We have reviewed and increased the remuneration of healthcare workers to not only recognize their invaluable contributions but also to encourage
them to remain within our shores and serve our people.
In line with the principles of accountability and efficiency, the Federal Ministry of Health is also developing a National Electronic Medical System. This initiative will revolutionize governance within our hospitals, improving patient management, data collection, and ultimately, health outcomes. ” He stressed.

“The digitization of our healthcare system is an integral part of our strategy to deliver world-class healthcare services to all Nigerians” he added

The projects commissioned includes
Molecular laboratory, ENT specialty clinic, Power house, 200-capacity auditorium, Students’ hostel, Oxygen plant, modular theatre and the new female and children’s ward.

Earlier the Medical Director National Ear Care Centre Dr. Mustapha Abubakar Yaro said the achievements could not have been possible without the support of the Federal Ministry of Health & Social Welfare, through funding by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

He maintained that the projects are a testimony of tireless effort, innovative thinking and commitments to providing the highest standard of healthcare to our patients and Nigerians which is in line with the renewed Hope Agenda of the present administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“The projects we are unveiling today represent the embodiment of our hospital’s vision. Leveraging the power of cutting-edge technology, modern infrastructure and a dedicated
team of professionals to deliver world class medical services.” He added.
