Hajj 2026: Ogun Sets 28 January Deadline for Payments and Registration

The Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board (OGMPWB) has announced that Wednesday, 28 January, will be the deadline for the payment of Hajj fares and the completion of registration for the 2026 pilgrimage.

This was stated in a release in Abeokuta on Wednesday by the board’s executive secretary, Ajibola Taiwo.

Mr Taiwo noted that the total Hajj fare has been set at ₦7.9 million.

He emphasised that the deadline is final and will be strictly enforced.

Mr Taiwo revealed that the registration process for the 2026 Hajj is currently underway and will also close on 28 January.

He provided a breakdown of the registration processing fees as follows: application form, ₦20,050; screening form, ₦2,550; medical fitness certificate, ₦2,550; and medical screening, ₦20,050.

He stated that the total cost of the registration and processing fee amounts to ₦45,200. The executive secretary urged all intending pilgrims to obtain, complete, and submit their forms promptly to ensure timely processing.

He advised prospective pilgrims requiring further clarification to visit the Board’s office at Block B, Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
