Security analyst Bakatsine revealed the attack in a post on his X handle, on Tuesday.

He wrote, “ALERT: Yesterday evening, bandits attacked farmers on the outskirts of Marmara community, Malumfashi LGA, Katsina State. Four CWC operatives aiding the farmers were killed, several farmers also killed many others injured.”

ELANZANEWS reports that the Katsina State Government has recently intensified efforts to broker peace deals with armed groups in certain communities.

Some bandits in Jibia, Batsari, and DanMusa local government areas have already accepted the peace deal and surrendered their weapons.

However, this latest attack has sparked concerns amongst residents regarding the sustainability of such deals.
