Citizens of Gobir have expressed gratitude to Bello Matawalle, Minister of State for Defence, for the arrest of Abubakar Bawa Ibrahim, also known as Habu Dogo, a notorious bandit linked to numerous terrorist attacks, kidnappings, and killings in Sokoto State.

During a recent visit to the regions of Goronyo, Isah, and Sabon Birni, Matawalle instructed the Nigerian Army to capture Habu Dogo “dead or alive.”

His bold stance aimed to restore security in the Northwest, where banditry has created a climate of fear.

“We are thankful to Matawalle for his leadership,” said Liya’u Abubakar, spokesperson for the concerned citizens of Gobir. “His commitment to security is evident in his direct orders to the military during his visit to Sokoto State.”

The successful capture of Habu Dogo alive has been hailed as a significant victory for the Nigerian Army, demonstrating their dedication and courage in the face of persistent security challenges.

With Matawalle at the forefront of security initiatives, many believe that progress is being made in curbing the cycle of violence that has plagued the region. Local citizens are optimistic that, under his guidance, a safer future is attainable.

As Nigeria continues to grapple with security issues, the community stands united in support of their leaders and the armed forces in the ongoing fight against terrorism.
