The event, graced by dignitaries including President Bola Tinubu, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and APC leaders, showcased the governor’s commitment to surpassing his first-term achievements.

Governor Uzodimma’s re-inauguration unfolded at 3:24 pm, following the induction of his deputy, Lady Chinyere Ekomaru.

In his inaugural address, he pledged to outdo his prior performance, expressing gratitude to the state’s residents for their unwavering support.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in November 2023, declared Uzodimma the winner of the Imo governorship election.

Securing 540,308 votes, he triumphed over his rivals—Anyanwu of the PDP with 71,503 votes and Achonu of the LP with 64,081 votes.

The governor extended his appreciation to Tinubu for gracing the swearing-in ceremony and for his continuous support to Imo State.
