Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has officially sworn in newly appointed Special Advisers, assigning them to strategic roles to improve public service efficiency.

In an official statement released on Monday, the Governor’s Personal Assistant on Social Media, Mr. Godwin Rimi, confirmed the appointments and outlined the specific responsibilities assigned to each adviser.

The newly appointed Special Advisers have been strategically placed in various government departments to optimise service delivery and ensure smooth operations. Among the key appointees are:

Dr. Justina Anjide-Kotso – Assigned to the Secretary to the State Government’s (SSG) Office.

Aliyu Safiyanu – Tasked with overseeing Investment strategies and initiatives.

Haruna Idris – Appointed as Special Adviser on Chieftaincy Affairs.

Lawal Yakubu – Assigned to Public Works, focusing on infrastructure and development.

Jibrin Giza – Designated as Special Adviser on Finance to manage state financial affairs.

Gambo Abdullahi – Given the Health portfolio to improve healthcare services.

Moses Utondo – Entrusted with Rural Development to advance community-based projects.

Elsie Monde – Appointed to Women Affairs to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment.

Further appointments include:

Mohammed Shehu Baba – Special Adviser on Political Affairs.

Danlami Lawal – Overseeing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) initiatives.

Mohammed Alkali – Tasked with managing the Assembly Liaison.

Ibrahim Shekarau – Assigned to the Education sector to enhance learning policies.

Mohammed Shege – Overseeing Mining, a key economic sector.

Nuhu Bunu – Responsible for Agricultural policies and development.

Jibrin Ibrahim – Appointed as Special Adviser on Civil Service reforms.

Additionally, Muhammad Abubakar has been placed in the Governor’s Office, while Mohammed Iyimoga Oyigye will serve as Special Adviser on Special Duties and Agriculture.

Governor Sule highlighted that these appointments are essential to strengthening his administration’s capacity to deliver on its mandate. By carefully selecting individuals with expertise in their respective fields, the state government aims to enhance governance, increase efficiency, and provide better services to the people of Nasarawa.

The advisers are expected to bring innovative solutions to their respective portfolios, driving development in critical sectors such as healthcare, education, infrastructure, and agriculture. The Governor reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that governance remains transparent, efficient, and people-focused.

Governor Sule also urged the appointees to demonstrate dedication, integrity, and a results-oriented approach in their respective roles. He emphasised that their contributions would be crucial in achieving the government’s development agenda.
