Notably, the allocation encompasses a noteworthy N149.332 billion for recurrent expenditure and a substantial N464.661 billion designated for capital expenditure.

The detailed analysis reveals that N149.332 billion is earmarked for recurrent expenditure, indicating a strategic focus on sustaining ongoing commitments and operational necessities.

Speaker Sarkindaji emphasized the importance of submitting the budget three months prior to year-end.

This proactive approach facilitates meticulous scrutiny and ensures timely approval, aligning with good governance practices.

Governor Umaru Bago’s initial budget proposal of N613.274 billion, presented on December 20, faced parliamentary adjustments.

Lawmakers collectively endorsed an increase, raising the budget to N613.994 billion – a substantial increment of N719.917 million.
