Abdullahi Ganduje the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), urges Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to leave the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) and embrace the APC.
After a pivotal stakeholders’ gathering in Kano, Ganduje emphasised the party’s readiness to welcome new members, extending a specific invitation to the Governor of Kano and his NNPP colleagues to join the APC fold.
At a press briefing following the meeting, Ganduje reaffirmed the party’s inclusive stance, encouraging individuals to align with the ruling party’s vision.
Despite recent setbacks, including the loss of the governorship election case at the Supreme Court, Ganduje urged party faithful to remain steadfast and express gratitude as part of their democratic ethos.
Notably, he announced notable defections of senators and members of the House of Representatives to the APC, hinting at imminent defections of governors to bolster the party’s ranks.
Emphasising Tinubu’s affinity for Kano, Ganduje underscored the state’s bid for the Deputy Senate presidency amidst significant pressure.
The meeting saw a significant turnout, with former Commissioners and Chief Executives of parastatals who previously served under Ganduje in attendance.
