PORT HARCOURT – Governor Siminalayi Fubara has firmly established his control over governance in Rivers State, according to former House of Representatives member Hon. Ogbonna Nwuke.

“Fubara has done well given the distractions and diversions we saw in the beginning of this administration. He has absolutely taken control of government,” Nwuke stated in an interview with LEADERSHIP yesterday.

Nwuke praised the governor’s ability to maintain stability despite attempts to destabilize both him and the state. “The game in the beginning was to completely destabilize him and to destabilize the state and make it ungovernable,” he said.

Residents of Rivers State have noticed a significant reduction in disturbances compared to the past, where angry youths, cultists, and militants caused unrest. “We don’t have the kind of disturbances we had in the past… That has not happened under Sim Fubara’s watch,” Nwuke remarked.

Nwuke also highlighted Fubara’s achievements in maintaining peace and promoting balanced development across the state’s three senatorial districts. “You can see that he has provided a platform having achieved a molecule of peace,” Nwuke said, adding that the governor has been effective, particularly in the last four months.

He noted the equitable distribution of new projects across the state. “If you look at the projects that have been flagged off and commissioned, you will see some near parity in the way the projects have been sited,” Nwuke concluded.
