According to him, the initiative is in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the present administration which focuses on digital transformation of government activities.

“We have keyed into the renewed agenda of the present administration on digital transformation in the country in all activities in the corps’ operations, that is why the app will be launched soon.

“We have started using tablet to make bookings and we are using body cameras as tool to cover all our operations activities while on enforcement.

“We are going further because very soon we are going to lunch FRSC App in the next two to three weeks, and the app will take up everything that we do at the comfort zone of every individual that wants to interact with FRSC online.”

The corps marshal also said that going digital would improve the administrative processes.

“It will reduce paper work and also the cost of buying papers and other items.”

Mohammed said his cardinal vision for the corps is to work on welfare of staff as well as training and retraining continuously to enhance their capacity.

“All this cannot be achieved without welfare and discipline. We need to be disciplined to differentiate us from other corps.

“Discipline is going to be one of my cardinal vision. Let there be a culture of discipline so that the public will have trust in us.”

He, however, charged the officials to play their part in bringing back the culture of FRSC which is trust integrity and selfless service

Mr Anthony Uga, FRSC Sector Commander, Ogun, disclosed that the command booked a total of 22,852 offenders for 25,006 traffic offences between January and June.

According to him, it is an average of 3,808 offenders and 4,167 offences booked per month.

He also explained that the command succeeded in reducing road traffic crashes figure from 462 to 224 between January and June.

Uga noted that the corps would not tolerate assault on its personnel under whatever guise as such erring offenders would be made to face the full wrath of the law.
