The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Oyo State Command has confirmed that six individuals lost their lives in a multi-vehicle collision that occurred on Monday at Oke Eleshin, within the Amuloko area of the state.

Mayowa Odewo, the FRSC Public Education Officer, informed the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) via text message that five others sustained injuries in the incident.

According to Odewo, a total of eleven individuals were involved in the crash, which included two tricycles, two trucks, and a Sienna car.

Odewo stated that the injured victims were transported to Amuloko City Hospital by compassionate bystanders, while the deceased were taken to the University College Hospital in Ibadan prior to the arrival of FRSC personnel.

He urged all drivers to strictly observe road safety regulations to minimize the risk of preventable accidents.

An eyewitness reported to NAN that among the deceased were schoolchildren and a mother of one of the students. The witness indicated that a trailer appeared to have lost control and collided with the other vehicles involved.
