Former Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, has lauded President Bola Tinubu for his remarkable efforts in steering the nation amidst challenging circumstances since assuming office in May 2023.

During a gathering on Sunday, March 10, while hosting the comptroller-general and members of the management team of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) in Daura, Katsina state, Buhari emphasized the daunting nature of governing Nigeria and urged citizens to persevere through the prevailing economic challenges while endorsing the current administration’s policies and initiatives.

Expressing gratitude to his guests, Buhari remarked, “I thank you very much for coming. I very much appreciate it. I thought Tinubu has done very well. Nigeria is so complex. Really, there isn’t much anybody can do.”

President Tinubu has faced considerable criticism from segments of the Nigerian populace due to his government’s policy decisions, notably the removal of petrol subsidies and the unification of exchange rates, which have resulted in surging inflation and economic difficulties.
