During the ceremony on June 26, 2024, at the Nigerian Defence Academy Officer’s Mess and Golf Club, NDA Commandant Major General JO Ochai praised Lt. Owowoh’s outstanding performance as a cadet. Her exemplary track record led to her becoming the first female Nigerian trained at the prestigious Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, and now to her new rank.

The event was attended by senior military officers, staff, family members, and other guests.

In April, 24-year-old Owowoh made history as the first Nigerian female officer to graduate from the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, in the UK.
