Super Eagles coach Finidi George has stepped down from his role.
Former Super Eagles media officer Toyin Ibitoye announced the news on X.com, stating: “News just in. Finidi George #FinidiGeorge_FG has resigned from his #NGSuperEagles manager position.”
Finidi’s resignation comes just weeks into his tenure as coach of the Super Eagles.
This decision follows the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) opting to hire a foreign coach due to the team’s poor performance in the ongoing World Cup qualifiers.
