With just five years remaining to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Federal Government of Nigeria has pledged unwavering commitment to advancing the Global Agenda.

Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on SDGs (SSAP-SDGs), reaffirmed the government’s dedication in her New Year message, highlighting efforts to implement transformative policies and programs aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“We remain steadfast in our mission to strengthen the implementation of the SDGs in Nigeria,” Orelope-Adefulire said, expressing confidence that these initiatives will foster inclusive growth and a prosperous future for all Nigerians.

The SSAP-SDGs assured citizens that the government is prioritizing pro-poor programs to address inequality and promote sustainable development. She urged Nigerians to unite in collective action, emphasizing that collaboration is vital to achieving the SDGs.

“The Renewed Hope Agenda underpins our efforts and will drive significant progress toward creating a future where no one is left behind,” she added.

As Nigeria enters 2025, the government’s renewed commitment to the SDGs signals optimism during the Decade of Action, reaffirming its resolve to meet key development targets and deliver measurable results for the nation.
