The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has sealed Paradise Estate, located in the Life Camp Extension area of Abuja, following allegations of housing fraud.
According to the Commission, the estate was shut down after failing to deliver homes to buyers who had made full payments. The FCCPC confirmed receiving multiple complaints against the management, which allegedly ignored official directives and refused to resolve the issues.
In a statement, the agency noted that repeated non-compliance with its instructions prompted the enforcement action.
The FCCPC reaffirmed its commitment to shielding consumers from unfair trade practices and issued a stern warning to real estate developers to honour their obligations and adhere to consumer protection laws.
