Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency of Osun State is facing a serious governance deficit as over seven federally funded capital projects have been left unexecuted despite over N20 billion in public funds allocated to them.

To track down the ‘missing’ government projects, sources said that one of them, titled ‘Construction of Inner Roads and Provision of Solar Street Lights in Ikeji-Arakeji’, had been awarded.

A member of the House of Representatives representing Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency via a letter dated 16th July, 2024, according to a document obtained by journalists, indicated that Wole Oke, asked the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Development, to give the said contract valued at #500,000,000 to MC AREMO NIG LTD, a company where his ally, Ajibola Olujobi is the General Manager.

He also recommended MC Aremo Nigeria Limited, based on their expertise in the previous execution of similar works, so they should be given enough and priority attention.

However, a visit to Ikeji-Arakeji, a town under Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency, revealed that the projects, such as the construction of inner roads and solar street lights valued at #500,000,000, have not been initiated nor completed.

Who owns MC AREMO NIG LTD?

Findings showed that MC-AREMO NIG LTD with Registration Number RC 728958 was registered on the 4th of February, 2008.The company with the office address, PLOT 1950 ALGIERS ST, Wuse ZONE 5, FCT in Abuja, was registered as a private unlimited company with two Directors, namely, Dele Durojaiye and Dele Olatunji, and a Secretary identified as Ogungbayibi Ayotunde Amos.

A letter of request for a 60% balance payment of another ‘missing project’ linked to the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency written by MC AREMO NIG LTD to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youths and Sports Development, was signed by Ajibola Olujobi as the General Manager of the company, MC AREMO NIG LTD.

However, the owner of MC AREMO NIG LTD remains shrouded in mystery.

Who is Ajibola Olujobi, the General Manager of MC AREMO NIG LTD?

Ajibola Olujobi, a political ally of Wole Oke, a legislator from the Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency, a politician, was recently named as the Obokun Local Government’s Renewed Hope Ambassador. He was spotted on a boat cruise aside from taking pictures with Oluwole Oke’s political supporters, among others, during a social media search.

It was discovered that when Oke announced his 2025 JAMB examination registration program, he identified Ajibola Olujobi as one of his contact persons in Obokun Local Government.

Several calls and SMS sent to Wole Oke for response were not successful as his phone remains switched off.
