Ere Koro turban Kagarko LG chair as Sarkin Yaki

The Paramount Chief of the Koro People, (Ere Koro 1), Mr Yohanna Akaito, has turbaned the Executive Chairman of Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Hon. Nasara Rabo as the new Sarkin Yaki of Koro land (Chief Warrior).

The Executive Chairman dressed in a colourful regalia, armed with a sword depicting a warrior was turbaned at the Ere Koro’s palace on Saturday at Mararaban Kubacha amidst pomp and pageantry.

The Monarch explained that the Council Chairman was carefully selected because of his role in matters that promote the well-being of the people.

” I urged you to see this traditional title as an opportunity to serve the people with fairness and justice and to render more services to the Chiefdom irrespective of tribe or religious affiliation.

Responding, the Executive Chairman, thanked the Ere Koro for finding him worthy to confer on him the traditional title of Sarkin Yaki Koro.

” We’ll continue to work in a direction that’ll promote mutual coexistence between tribes, religions, or ethnicities.

” Working toward promoting peaceful coexistence is a core value that everyone must involve himself to the growth and development of the Local Government Area.” He advised.

In his goodwill message, Prof. Ezekiel Akuso, from the Department of English, Ahmadu Bello University, said,” The Council Chairman to see his new status not in any way to amass wealth but to serve the Chiefdom with justice and fairness.
