The emir of Dutse His Highness Alhaji Muhammad Hamim Nuhu Sunusi called on the president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to re-introduce the Bank of Agriculture for accelerating the implementation of the National Agriculture and Food Security agenda.

The emir made the called when they paid a visit to “Malam Alu Integrated Farm” Birninku Jigawa state along side with the chairman of Kano State Emirs Council, His Highness emir of Kano Dr Aminu Ado Bayero.

He explained that, for the nation to achieve food self sufficient modern farming must be adopted and supported with such of Malam Alu as a classical example.

The emir added that, the Malam Alu Farm is also a model on how genuine government policy and intervention can work in transforming Nigerian agricultural sector.

” I am optimistic that, reintroducing the Bank of Agriculture will make funding the sector easily and also make loan and other facilities more accessible and affordable to farmers for improving their production” the empire stated.

On his side the emir of Kano Dr Aminu Ado Bayero, emphasized that by supporting Agriculture, the government is directly improving food security, creating more job opportunities that are critical for national peace, growth and development.

“What we saw in terms of modern farming technology in this farm, the physical commitment of the chairman of the Malam Alu Farm and Agro Allied company, Honourable Faruk Adamu Aliyu I am very optimistic that very soon the farm would be among of the best in Nigeria and Africa”.

“In agriculture there are a lot of opportunities, I am calling on Farmers like Hon Faruku to also venture into Hose breading because it is profitable,and will also rescue the species from the danger of going to extinction ” the emir said.

Speaking while taking round the two first class emirs, the the chairman of the Malam Alu Farm and Agro Allied company, Honourable Faruk Adamu Aliyu said, the farm is eighty hecters integration farm engaged in Poultry, Diary, Tomtom Green House, Green Papa, Fish, livestock and fertilizer productions.

“Currently over 1000 people are working in the farm, with “250 monthly salary and we will continue employ more as we keep expanding our production” Hon Faruku declared

During the visit the Emirs had inspected the tallest national Flag hoist in the farm as symbol of national unity and pride.
