The Edo house of assembly has asked Natasha Osawaru, member representing Egor constituency, to appear before its ethics and privileges committee over her recent conduct captured on video.

The assembly said Osawaru, the wife of Innocent Idibia, a Nigerian singer popularly known as 2Baba, is expected to appear before the committee within a week.

In one of the clips, Osawaru and 2Baba engaged in a heated argument during an Instagram live session hosted by media personality Daddy Freeze.

The controversy began when 2Baba’s former managers Kaka Igbokwe and Lori Tosan appeared on the live stream

They accused Natasha of seeking “full control” over the singer’s finances and career.

The situation escalated when 2Baba suddenly joined the live session and forcefully told the former managers to stop discussing his private life.

However, shortly after his intervention, a loud argument between him and Natasha became audible off-camera.

There was another clip where Osawaru seemingly screamed at 2Baba in a London shop.

‘DRAGGING HOUSE INTO DISREPUTE’

Speaking during Tuesday’s plenary, Blessing Agbebaku, the speaker of the assembly, said Osawaru’s conduct “drags the name of the house into the mud”, adding that the lawmaker has been trending on social media for the wrong reasons.

The speaker said members of the assembly are expected to conduct themselves properly in public.

Hon. Natasha Irobosa has been summoned to appear before the ethics and privileges committee of the assembly due to her recent conduct which has been trending online,” he said.

“This precious house with cerebral members has been dragged into the mud for too long. She has been trending negatively on the social media and television.

“We want to let the public know that this house is a very decent house. We have responsible and intelligent members.

“The conduct of a member cannot drag the house into disrepute. We frown against it and we will not take it.”

The ethics committee is expected to report back to the house within two weeks.
