In his goodwill message, Kente described the anniversary as a moment to reflect on Nigeria’s sovereignty and reaffirm commitment to unity, peace, and development across all states of the federation He noted that Taraba, endowed with rich natural and human resources, has a unique role to play in advancing national progress and strengthening democracy.

Chief Kente lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his economic reforms and policy initiatives aimed at repositioning Nigeria for growth and sustainable development. According to him, though the reforms are demanding, they are necessary steps to restore economic confidence and secure a better future for generations to come.

He urged the people of Taraba to remain steadfast in faith, unity, and commitment to building a peaceful and inclusive state that reflects the greatness of Nigeria. He further called on citizens to honour the sacrifices of past heroes by working together beyond tribal, religious, or political lines.

“May this Independence Anniversary bring renewed hope to Nigeria, and may Taraba continue to rise as a beacon of peace, harmony, and progress,” Kente said.
