Bayern Munich winger Luis Diaz has been handed a three-match ban for a reckless challenge on Paris Saint-Germain right-back Achraf Hakimi, which occurred during their recent 2-1 victory in the Champions League.
He will miss three crucial matches for Vincent Kompany as UEFA deemed his tackle as “serious play.”
Diaz’s suspension will sideline the forward for several key home matches in the Champions League. He will miss the upcoming clash against Arsenal on November 26, Sporting on December 9, and Union Saint-Gilloise on January 21.

The Moroccan defender, who won the CAF Men’s Player of the Year award on Wednesday, was seen limping as he received the honour and was supported by a scooter.
The 28-year-old joined the Bundesliga side during the summer transfer window and since reporting for duty, he has netted a 16-goal and assist tally for his side.
