In a world flooded with misinformation, President Bola Tinubu has been a prime target of distortionist propaganda.

President Tinubu’s detractors have resorted to inventing ahistorical accounts, contorting records, and fabricating stories to tarnish his reputation.

During election campaigns, distortionists worked tirelessly, creating fake tales and doctored videos.

However, time has unveiled the falsity of these claims, revealing the President as an articulate, poised, and intelligent leader.

Even after the elections, the opposition’s fixation on discrediting President Tinubu persisted.

Instead of focusing on critical governance issues, efforts were diverted towards smear campaigns, including punitive expeditions to the US.

These endeavors only served to stir controversy and rile up supporters without concrete evidence.

This dimension of opposition is marked by its destructive, perfidious, and insidious nature. It tears down without building, attacks without reason, and opposes without a cause.

Its sole purpose seems to be to obstruct and destroy, driven by a pipedream of attaining the chief seat.

Nigeria’s political landscape is marred by wild and minacious politics, devoid of patriotism and righteous purpose.

Meaningful policy debates are overshadowed by groundless tropes, hindering progress. It’s time for a more purposeful approach to governance.

Political parties, especially those in the opposition, play a pivotal role in educating citizens and fostering constructive discourse.

Opposition should be about offering solutions, not engaging in guerrilla warfare. Patriotism demands commitment to the country’s peace, unity, and progress, regardless of who holds the presidency.

President Tinubu’s administration has transcended the boundaries of ‘supporter and opposition’ in appointments and public goods provisioning.

This commitment to governance and national cohesion reflects true patriotism, a quality often lacking in Nigerian politics.

Conspiracy theories have long plagued Nigeria’s political discourse, fueling falsehoods, tension, and prejudice.

As the current administration progresses, conspiracy theorists are once again emerging with their divisive narratives.

It’s crucial to resist falling prey to these lies and fear-mongering tactics.
