On Thursday, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery announced a significant reduction in the price of its Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly referred to as fuel, now set at N899.50 per litre.

In a statement from the Group’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, the price cut aims to “offer essential relief to Nigerians as the holiday season approaches.”

As Africa’s first privately-owned oil refinery, Dangote previously adjusted its fuel price to N970 per litre on November 24. The new price of N899.50 per litre is intended to help mitigate transportation expenses during the festive period, according to Chiejina.

Additionally, the company has introduced a special promotion to enhance consumer benefits.

“Alongside the holiday discount, Dangote Petroleum Refinery is providing an opportunity for consumers to purchase an extra litre of fuel on credit for each litre bought with cash.

To help manage transport costs this holiday season, our petrol is now available at N899.50 per litre at our truck loading gantry or Single Point Mooring (SPM). Furthermore, for every litre purchased in cash, consumers can acquire another litre on credit, supported by a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank,” Chiejina stated.

The company expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their ongoing support and reaffirmed its commitment to providing access to high-quality petroleum products that are competitively priced, environmentally friendly, and beneficial for engines.
