In his keynote address, the Branch Controller, Alhaji Abdulƙadir Adama, said that the project was part of the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for 2023/2024.

He said that the bank has executed several projects across the state since 2011, adding that the intervention include areas such as healthcare, water, humanity, and education.

Adama said that the education support project was funded by CBN staff members through individual contributions.

He urged other organisations, philanthropists, and individuals to emulate the culture of giving back to society.

Gov. Mai Mala Buni of Yobe commended the bank staff for contributing to the realisation of the project, saying it will complement the government’s efforts toward improving the education sector.

Buni, represented by Alhaji Kaigama Umar, the Commissioner of Commerce, Industry, and Tourism said the state would continue to partner with the CBN for sustainable quality education in the state.

The governor called on individuals and organisations to emulate the gesture.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the governor handed over the project to the State Universal Basic Education Board.
