The Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has made a decisive move in its fight against cybercrime.

On Tuesday, October 17, 2023, their operatives successfully arrested 17 individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud in Benin City, Edo State.

This operation was executed with precision and efficiency to apprehend these suspects at their various hideouts, scattered across different locations, following actionable intelligence regarding their nefarious activities.

During the arrest, law enforcement officers recovered various items from the suspects, shedding light on the extent of their alleged criminal activities. These items include:

A collection of exotic cars
An assortment of mobile phones
Numerous laptops
