The Coalition of Northern Group (CNG) condemns in the strongest terms the disgraceful and thuggish threats issued by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike against Bauchi State.

CNG national coordinator,Comrade Jamilu Aliyu Charanchi in a statement on Monday said Wike’s recent bandit-like outburst on live television is a stark reminder of the dangerous and unrefined attitude he has consistently displayed in his political career.

According to hik,it is shocking and deeply unfortunate that a figure of such notorious repute holds a position in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government.

Wike’s behavior is not only an affront to the people of Bauchi State but also a direct challenge to the peace and stability of Northern Nigeria.

The statement read:”The CNG wishes to make it clear that we do not take such threats lightly. No one has a monopoly on thuggery or intimidation. We are fully prepared to confront Wike and anyone who believes they can bully or destabilize our region.

“It is a tragedy for Nigeria that individuals with such a glaring lack of respect for the rule of law and civil discourse are appointed to high offices in our Federal Government. Wike’s actions have embarrassed the Tinubu administration and sullied the image of responsible governance.

“We call on President Tinubu to urgently reconsider the inclusion of such volatile and unrefined elements in his government. The Nigerian people deserve leaders who will work towards unity and stability, not those who would threaten it with their bandit-like tactics.

“The CNG remains steadfast in our commitment to defending Northern Nigeria against any form of aggression or intimidation, and we are ready to respond with equal force to any threat posed by Wike or his ilk.”
