In Kaduna State, Mr. Edward John Auta, a 36-year-old aspirant for the chairmanship of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has pledged to steer the party back to power in 2027 if elected in the upcoming party elections.

Auta asserted that the populace endured a period of inadequate governance during the previous administration, advocating for a brighter future under PDP leadership in the next electoral cycle.

He highlighted his competitive edge over opponents, citing his youthfulness and a lack of internal conflicts as assets in elevating the PDP’s stature.

Auta showcased his longstanding involvement in PDP campaigns, including roles in the campaigns of Isah Mohammed Ashiru during the 2019 elections.

He stressed his familiarity with the party’s dynamics, having served as the Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs to the current PDP chairman in the State, Honourable Felix Hassan Hyet.

Reflecting on the tumultuous years under the previous administration, Auta urged a shift towards progressive governance, underscoring the need for accountability and effective opposition in Kaduna State.

He highlighted PDP’s forthcoming leadership transition as an opportunity to reinvigorate the party, vowing to offer pragmatic solutions to the state’s and the party’s challenges.

Auta expressed his commitment to pursuing his candidacy vigorously, acknowledging the pivotal role of the press in his campaign.
