As the world commemorate the 2025 children day, a non governmental organisation, Caleb Danladi Foundation, CDF, has called for concerted efforts in addressing the challenges bedevilling the development and the rights of children in the society.

The founder of the foundation, Captain Caleb Danladi Bako who made the call in a statement lamented that manychildren in Nigeria are faced with significant challenges, including lack of access to quality education, poverty, and limited opportunities for personal growth.

Captain Caleb Danladi who reaffirmed the commitment of the foundation to promoting the welfare and development of children in Kaduna state said the theme for this year’s children day “Children: Our Future and Our Responsibility” resonates deeply with the mission of the foundation to provide support and opportunities for children to thrive.

He said the foundation plans to launching a campaign to raise awareness about the dangers of out-of-school children, including increased vulnerability to exploitation, child labor, and limited future opportunities.

While under scoring the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education among children, Captain Caleb said the STEM initiatives by the foundation is aimed at equipping children with the necessary skills and knowledge needed to compete in the global economy and drive innovation.

Captain Caleb said education is key to unlocking children’s potential, hence the provision of educational support, including scholarships, mentorship, and access to learning materials, to help the children have the resources they need to succeed.

He said the foundation will expand it activities to cover all part of Kaduna state as well as launch new initiatives, including digital literacy programs and vocational training, to further empower children and address emerging challenges.

The Foundation urged individuals, organizations, and governments to invest more on children to create a brighter future for Nigeria’s child to realise thier potentials.

While felicitating with the Nigerian children for marking the captain Caleb urged them to pursue excellent in all the do and shun negative tendencies that could ruin their future.
