The United States has apprehended Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and transported him out of the country after a series of missile strikes targeted the South American nation.
In a post on Truth Social, US President Donald Trump stated: “The United States of America has successfully executed a large-scale strike against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolas Maduro, who, along with his wife, has been captured and taken out of the country.
“This operation was conducted in conjunction with U.S. law enforcement. Further details will follow. There will be a press conference today at 11 A.M. at Mar-a-Lago. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
Explosions shook Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, early on Saturday.
