A passenger train traveling to Kaduna derailed on Tuesday morning, resulting in numerous passengers being stranded and creating significant disruption along the route.
The incident took place on the well-traveled Abuja-Kaduna corridor shortly after the train departed from Abuja around 11 AM en route to Kaduna.
One passenger shared details on social media, describing a scene of chaos, with individuals rushing to find safety amid fear and confusion.
As of now, the Nigeria Railways Corporation (NRC) has not confirmed the derailment, and the cause of the incident remains unclear, leaving the status of the passengers uncertain as of the latest updates.
In response to the situation, security personnel have been dispatched to the location to assist with the evacuation of stranded passengers and to maintain safety at the accident site.
