SP Benjamin Hundeyin, a representative of the Lagos State Police Force, confirmed the development in a brief statement released on X.

According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, “Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has been taken into custody for interrogation and other vital investigative procedures.”

In response to these unfolding events, Naira Marley took to social media to make an official statement.

He conveyed, “I’d like to share that I’ve just arrived back in Lagos, Nigeria, to assist the authorities with the ongoing investigation. It’s imperative that I do my part for Imole.”

Naira Marley expressed his determination, stating, “I’ll be meeting with the police with hopes for the truth to be uncovered and for justice to prevail.”

The tragic loss of Ilerioluwa Aloba, fondly known as MohBad, sent shockwaves through the music industry and beyond.
