During the assault, three shops, two Takumbo Hilux vehicles, one motorcycle, and a Golf sedan were set ablaze by the insurgents. Tragically, the attack resulted in the death of a member of the Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF) who was attempting to escape to safety.

In response to the incident, the Chairman of the Konduga LGA, Hon. Abba Ali Abbari, visited the affected community on Wednesday, accompanied by key officials including the Council Secretary Alhaji Saleh Bukar, the Councilor of Kawuri ward Alhaji Hussaini Mai Durmari, the Ward Chairman, Council Treasurer Alhaji Darman Bulama, Director of Works Mr. Philip Mishelia, the District Head of Konduga, and members of the JTF and Vigilante groups.

During his visit, the Chairman expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased and took the opportunity to assess the situation firsthand. He also met with security personnel, urging them to maintain vigilance amid these persistent threats.

Hon. Abbari reassured the security forces of his unwavering support and encouraged them to communicate any needs or concerns directly to him.
