Lt-Gen. Shaibu delivered this message on Thursday during his inaugural operational visit to the area of responsibility in Zamfara.

A statement from the army spokesperson, Lt-Col. Appolonia Anele, released on Thursday in Abuja, revealed that Lt-Gen. Shaibu praised the troops for their resilience and sacrifices in the face of the complex security challenges in the region.

He assured personnel that the service was taking immediate steps to address operational deficiencies and welfare concerns raised by frontline troops.

Lt-Gen. Shaibu committed to resolving all issues impacting the land and air components of the operation in collaboration with other branches of the military.

“The Nigerian Army remains dedicated to enhancing troops’ motivation, equipment, and overall support systems to improve operational effectiveness,” he stated.

He urged the personnel to conduct themselves with professionalism and to uphold the confidence of the citizens who rely on them for protection.

“These challenges are temporary. Remain steadfast, remain determined, and continue to perform your duties with professionalism. The Nigerian people appreciate your service,” he concluded.
