This announcement was made by the Commissioner for Education, Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, in a statement released on Thursday in Awka. She emphasised that a formal circular outlining the directive has already been distributed to all school authorities.

Commissioner Chuma-Udeh stated, “The order, issued under the authority of Governor Chukwuma Soludo, applies to all public, private, mission, and returned schools throughout the state. Any school that fails to resume activities on Mondays will face immediate closure.”

The government’s decision underscores its commitment to enhancing educational standards and ensuring consistent academic engagement for students across Anambra. The directive aims to create a structured learning environment, fostering discipline and regular attendance.

The Anambra State government encourages all educational institutions to adhere strictly to this directive to avoid penalties. The focus on punctuality and regular academic schedules is seen as essential for improving educational outcomes in the region.

As the state prepares for this significant shift, parents, teachers, and students alike are urged to cooperate fully with the new regulations to ensure a smooth transition back to structured learning.

In conclusion, the Anambra State government remains resolute in its mission to strengthen the educational framework within the state. By enforcing this mandate, it aims to ensure that all students receive the quality education they deserve.
