The Adamawa Government says it has approved N855 million for the construction of four hostel blocks at the Nigeria Law School, Yola.
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Iliya James, disclosed this, while briefing newsmen on the outcome of Wednesday’s State Executive Council meeting in Yola.
James said that the project was part of the state’s intervention to assist the school with a completion period of 12 months.
“The decision of the council was to cushion the sufferings of students, particularly in the area of accommodation deficit in the school,” he said.
The Commissioner for Justice,
Mr Afraimu Jingi, said that the approval was borne out of the magnanimity of Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri to ensure that more students were admitted for the one year programme.
According to him, at the inception of the school in 2013, only 250 students were admitted.
He further said that now, 400 students were currently admitted, adding that with the State Government’s intervention, more students would be admitted (NAN)
