Speaking at the inauguration of the Collector Road CN2 in Katampe District on Friday, the President—represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima—credited the transformation to good governance that prioritises security, mobility, and dignity for residents.

“My fellow residents of Abuja, we did not stop at the road. We installed solar streetlights. Today, Katampe is safer at night. Abuja’s real life is coming back. Criminal hideouts are disappearing,” Mr Tinubu said.

The President described the project as a testament to his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, demonstrating that effective governance can deliver tangible benefits to citizens. The new road links Katampe and Mabushi districts to the wider road network, easing congestion, reducing dust, and improving travel conditions.

“A road like CN2 is more than concrete. It is hope,” he added.

Mr Tinubu also commended FCT Minister Nyesom Wike for fulfilling his mandate to transform Abuja into a true capital city, praising his dedication to roads, water projects, and judicial infrastructure across the territory.

“You do not give excuses. You give results. The people of the FCT call you Mr Project,” the President said, recalling Mr Wike’s achievements before his appointment.

The President reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to rebuilding Nigeria through strategic infrastructure and improved security, stressing that such developments mark a turning point for the nation.
