The Chairman of the FCT Civil Service Commission, Emeka Ezeh, announced on Sunday that these civil servants span 165 different cadres.

According to Mr Ezeh, the promotion examinations are scheduled to take place over five days, from Tuesday to Saturday, at the National Open University Study Centre located along Kubwa Road in Abuja.

He stated, “The FCT Minister, as part of staff motivation, has approved the request from the FCT Civil Service Commission to swiftly complete the 2024 promotion exercise for FCT/FCDA workers across all cadres.

“The promotion examinations, which will be conducted using a computer-based testing format, will enhance the newly introduced digital platform for promotion assessments that was sanctioned by the FCT Minister.”

Mr Ezeh highlighted that the FCT, under the leadership of Nyesom Wike, has set a precedent as the first commission in Nigeria to conduct its promotions through CBT.

He further noted that in August, the minister approved the promotion of 49 Directors who successfully passed the computer-based examination conducted by the commission.
