The Regional Pastor of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, NCR 88, Lugbe, Abuja, Hilary Chukwuma, has admonished parents to take their responsibilities towards their children seriously, describing it as the bedrock of their future.
Chukwuma spoke during a church service where a 14-year-old SS1 student, Chidera Agulue, launched his book to wide applause.
The cleric commended the teenager, who hails from Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State, for what he described as a remarkable feat at a young age and from a humble background.
He said the church raised over ₦2m during the launch to support the boy’s education.
“At 14, this is no small achievement. It shows what can happen when parents and the church nurture a child properly,” the pastor stated.
In his acknowledgement, Chidera expressed gratitude to his spiritual mentors and teachers for their guidance and support.
“I am deeply grateful to Daddy R.O., Pastor Hillary Chukwuma, for his prayers, support and fatherly guidance. My special thanks also go to Pastor Dr Emmanuel Daniel for reviewing this work,” he said.
He also appreciated Mrs Favour Adams for editing the book and thanked members of MFM NCR 88, Lugbe, for their support and scholarship.
The teenager further acknowledged his principal and teachers at Winners Academy, Trademore, for their dedication and encouragement.
Speaking on his inspiration, Chidera said he draws strength from the Word of God, learned through his mother’s guidance and the teachings at the Children and Teenage Church of MFM, Lugbe.
With a passion for storytelling, he said he hopes to inspire hope, promote compassion and give a voice to the vulnerable.
According to him, age should never be a barrier to making a positive impact in society.
